I'm talking to Jeff Rush (Python Advocacy head) and Stephan Deibel (PSF Chairman) about what we can all do about this. The time is ripe to significantly raise Python's profile. We have plans in the works for Python and we'd like to do the same with Perl as well, given a chance. There are a lot of reasons why people don't take the dive into Python and they are all just little misconceptions, like, "but PHP already has so many open source tools" :( The more intros like this, the better.
